“Lion Ambassadors is an amazing organization to strengthen leadership skills. There are several leadership positions that any member can hold including ad-hoc positions, membership, strategic planning committee, and executive board positions. All members holding a leadership role work together seamlessly and respect each other’s ideas so that we can better our organization, ourselves, and our university. Regardless of positions held, all members are able to build their leadership skills through our professional development and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) events that invite professionals to teach our members about the respectful topic.

Personally, I have grown significantly as a leader. I have the honor to serve on the executive board as the University Relations Director for a second year. Through this position, I have learned skills in relation to planning events, strengthened my communication skills, and practiced my delegation skills. I have become more confident in my leadership abilities and continue to learn through experience.”
