Lion Ambassadors is dedicated to fostering community within the Penn State family through our events and service initiatives. To achieve these goals, active engagement from every member is essential. Our success is not the result of individual effort alone, but of our collective ability to come together as a unified team, supporting each other every step of the way. Whether it's creating the iconic S-Zone, helping carry on tradition through community events, participating in service projects, or fulfilling tour requests, each member’s contribution plays a vital role in delivering the final result. As a Lion Ambassador, you’ll have the opportunity to take on various roles and levels of involvement, allowing you to leverage your strengths and gain leadership experience in specific areas of the organization. However, in your journey, you'll be encouraged to step outside your comfort zone and explore every facet of what we do as Lion Ambassadors. This holistic experience will equip you with the skills to make a lasting impact, both within our organization and beyond.
Engagement
Lion Ambassadors foster growth in its members from a variety of different angles. Members have access to a plethora of resources and opportunities, including alumni networking, leadership positions, and professional events. These offerings support both personal and professional growth, creating an environment where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential. From day one after being welcomed as a Lion Ambassador, there are many leadership opportunities for members to step into. Within the leadership structure, there are varying levels of time commitment and differing roles in order to cater to each individuals' other involvements. Lion Ambassadors provide several diverse projects and events that allow members to branch out in ways that they may not have previously been exposed to. Upon joining the organization, new members are paired with a peer mentor which helps the Lion Ambassador navigate this new journey. Growth begins from your first days as a Lion Ambassador all the way through graduation.

As an organization, Lion Ambassadors is committed to fostering an inclusive environment. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds and strive to cultivate a sense of community here within the organization. Lion Ambassadors make a conscious effort to ensure that our events and tours are accessible and welcoming for all participants. In addition, we enjoy collaborating with other organizations on campus to broaden our understanding of not only ourselves but each other. Internally, our members work together to further their knowledge pertaining to various DEIB topics, such as with our community circles that are held at least once a semester. During community circles, we invite other organizations to facilitate and engage members in conversations regarding different DEIB topics, like food insecurity and culture. Lion Ambassadors is known to form a tight-knit family that has been built through committee meetings, general body meetings, and both internal and external engagements!
